Why is my ex texting me again?

Summary: I am 22 and liked him since I was about 15. We finally became more serious last year & dated 6 months, up until I had to move back to college. I go to school in Baton Rouge, but I and he are from New Orleans. He stopped texting me & ultimately got back with his child's mother a few weeks after ! I was shocked since I thought he would handle my feelings carefully since we have such history together. Once he left, I never chased him & focused on school and now am doing better than ever. Well that was back in September & I just moved back to new orleans for the summer. He has texted me numerous times & shown up to a bar he knew i was going to one night on purpose. He hurt me and he knows it, but why does he feel the need to bother me now??? I'm over it!
