How to show hidden files after Windows 7 Restore virus?

I recently got the Windows 7 Restore rouge virus. I got rid of it using malwarebytes. I figured out how to show the hidden files and folders, but I can't see them on the Start Menu. I can see all the files in Windows Explorer though.
